From 2 to 3 April, PROJOY attended the 57th Australian Smart Energy Conference& Exhibition in Sydney and demonstrated how solar installers can make their projects safer and easier. PROJOY self-developed Solar Isolators has generated a great deal of interest among the attendees. The expert audience at Smart Energy was able to get an overview of PROJOY complete portfolio at the stand. We saw the reputation of PROJOY in Australian market and will stabilize the position in PV switches market in Australia.

Australia is located in the tropics, with good radiation resource and high PV acceptance. The unique conditions for clean energy development and the excellent energy policies of government have made Australia one of the fastest growing countries in the world in terms of PV installations, becoming the eye-catching vane of clean energy development all over the world.

Solar switches are essential components in solar system and PROJOY has shown the variety of selections and solutions for Australian PV market. Good performance, High reliability, and Great convenience, PROJOY has become a well-known PV switch brand in Australia after years of hard work. Hot products such as PV firefighter safety switches, DC miniature circuit breaker and enclosure AC & DC isolator have won a good reputation among users. Most of the PV systems in Australia are required that install an enclosure DC isolator on the output side of the PV array on the roof. Enclosure DC isolator can only be shut off manually during maintenance but cannot shut off automatically due to system failure or overload, nor can it be shut off remotely for fire alarms or firefighters shut off power from the external grid, so the use frequency of DC isolator is extremely limited.

But the PV firefighter safety switch of PROJOY is different from DC isolator, it can be shut off remotely, the main advantages are as follows:

Remote control. It can be shut off remotely when the AC distribution box is cut off in an emergency.

Shut off automatically after the alarm system input the alarm signals.

Be used with the arc detector. As soon as the line has an arc, it can shut off automatically.

Multiple strings. It can shut off multiple PV strings at the same time, which is different from DC isolator with only 2 strings.

Similar to our PEDSC-EL DC switch in enclosure. Wiring options include MC4, gland and plug-and-play terminals, waterproof design and the use of anti-UV and flame-retardant materials.

Equip with sunshade to avoid direct sunlight on PV firefighter safety switch, and prolong the life cycle.

Moreover, PROJOY is the first supplier of full series products that have met the requirements of DC-PV2 of Australia. PROJOY DC isolator PEDS16-32A and cage DC isolator PEDSC series have passed the latest standard of Australian DC isolator-AS 60947.3-the strictest DC-PV2 test in 2018 (4 times rated current on and off, 5 times in cycle test), and can achieve insulation voltage of 1500V, the maximum rated voltage is 1200V. The 1200V 32A/string can meet the requirements of DC isolation for high-power string inverters or multi-string panels.
