Intersolar Europe 2026: PROJOY PV Safety Solutions Support Europe’s Energy Transition

Intersolar Europe 2026 was held from June 23 to 25 in Munich, Germany. The exhibition welcomed around 105,000 trade visitors from 163 countries, reflecting the strong momentum of the global solar and energy storage industries. During the exhibition, PROJOY Electric presented its PV safety and solar electrical protection solutions, drawing strong interest from industry professionals.

Under the theme “Switch to Safety,” PROJOY Electric focused on protection solutions for solar-plus-storage systems. The portfolio on display included rapid shutdown devices, solar optimizers, DC circuit breakers, smart meters and electrical distribution boxes for residential and commercial PV projects. Among them, the automatic transfer switch (ATS) and Type B RCBO stood out as two key highlights.

Automatic Transfer Switch for Solar-Plus-Storage Applications

PROJOY Electric highlighted its automatic transfer switch (ATS) for solar-plus-storage applications. As more European homes combine PV systems with batteries and heat pumps, power continuity has become a practical concern. The automatic transfer switch (PEATS series) is designed to switch between the grid, generators and energy storage systems. This helps keep essential loads running during grid fluctuations or power outages. Its compact modular design also makes it easier to install in European-standard electrical distribution boxes, addressing common installation challenges found in traditional ATS solutions.

Type B RCBO for Fast and Integrated Leakage Current Protection

PROJOY Electric’s Type B residual current breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO) was another highlight at Intersolar Europe 2026. Designed for solar and energy storage applications, it combines overload, short-circuit, leakage current, fault and fire protection in one compact device. With high sensitivity and reliable performance, the Type B RCBO can respond quickly to changes in residual current. It provides compact and dependable safety protection for residential and commercial energy storage systems in Europe.

Europe’s Energy Transition Is Raising Safety Requirements

Across Europe, solar power is becoming a standard part of homes, commercial buildings and local energy systems. This shift is supported by long-term policies such as Germany’s EEG 2023 and the revised EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, which are accelerating renewable energy deployment and solar adoption in buildings. As PV systems are increasingly combined with batteries, heat pumps and backup power, reliable electrical protection is becoming essential to safe system operation.
